The slow housing market is producing some exciting marketing methods aimed at clinching a sale in a difficult housing market. My role as CEO of Marr International behind Homesgofast.com and also director of UK private sales website The Little House Company means I am at the coal face with sellers from all overv the world attempting to sell their homes. I am seeing a new trend in which I call Extreme House Selling. The phrase coined by international best selling author Jonathan Blain is used where home owners are going to great lengths to try and sell their homes.
The trend usually sees private home sellers adding extra value to their proposition along with increasing the exposure of their homes. Some people think that going that extra mile is for the luxury home market. My view is that anyone can employ these methods when trying to sell a property no matter the value of the property you are trying to sell. I have seen this take place at the UK’s private sales website The Little House Company and the overseas property portal HomesGofast.com both of which allow private home sellers to market their homes without an agent. It’s a fact that agents who deal with multiple listings apply the same method of marketing to most of their inventory. This leaves a motivated seller with a problem where they may not stand out from the crowd. Extreme House Selling is all about getting noticed and trying to break away from the norm. Agents can and do use enhanced marketing techniques but risk more costs both in time and money so it seems that Extreme House Selling is ideal for those selling without an agent.
