Boston Mayor Thomas Menino visited a recently renovated Roxbury home thanks to the PBS television show “This Old House.”

Earlier today at 1:30 p.m., Menino toured the formerly foreclosed house at 42-44 Woodbine St. For the past several months, “This Old House” has filmed the house’s renovation. Menino will meet the new homeowner at one of the two newly revamped units, and tour the renovated property, according to a statement.

Affordable housing nonprofit Nuestra Comunidad, Norm Abram, Tom Silva, and crews from “This Old House” worked on the renovation. General contractor David Lopes, who has extensive experience with both historic preservation and affordable housing projects, is heading the project, according to the show’s Web site.

The show is set to air this month
