Sal Cape Verde Property Investors Paradise

The island of Sal in the Cape Verde Islands is the one of the hottest property destinations anywhere these days. It has just about everything an investor could want: great year round weather, beautiful beaches, an international airport and several very nice new property developments.

Sal is 34 kilometers from north to south, and at its widest is about 12 kilometers. It has a tropical climate with an average year round temperature of 25 C. The island has some of the nicest beaches anywhere, with long white sandy stretches and clear blue water. It is probably the most developed of the Cape Verde Islands in terms of infrastructure and tourism, but it is still just beginning to reach its potential. The most popular tourist town is Santa Maria, on the southern tip of the island, and in recent years it has become largest town with over 15,000 residents.

Many visitors come to the island to enjoy the water and sporting activities. The beaches are ideal for sunbathing and relaxing, and the water is a perfect place for adventurers to explore. Sal is considered one of the top windsurfing destinations in the world, and there is also kite surfing, diving, snorkeling and plenty of great fishing.

Getting to Sal is easy, as it has the main international airport on the islands, Amilcar Cabral International Airport (SID). The airport is near the town of Espargo, which is the municipal capital and was, for many years, the largest town on the island. There are a number of airlines that serve Sal, and there are also direct flights from several UK cities to Sal.
