Spanish property attracting bargain hunters

Overseas house hunters have plenty to choose from these days, and some of the best deals are in Spain. The Spanish Costas are always a favorite for Brits, and these days there are some outstanding properties available for great prices. Completed coastal resorts that have existing infrastructure are an ideal target for bargain hunters in Spain. These properties are finished, so buyers don’t have to worry about construction being completed.

The Costa del Sol has bargains everywhere, with prices down some 30 percent since 2006. Most of the properties available are finished and there are currently few off-plan sites. Flats that are not in the prime areas can be had for even greater deals, according to estate agents in the area. If you just want a place to sleep while spending days on the beach and nights out, then there are some apartments and condos near highways or with not-premium views that have amazingly low prices.

One new property scheme near Marbella, Al Bosqye de la Mairena, has dropped flat prices from €271,000 to €173,000, and buyers may be able to negotiate that down even more. Studio apartments are also available in complexes along the coast, including one in Riviera del Sol for just €69,000. At the other end of the spectrum, a four-bed villa in the Sotogrande enclave is now priced at €990,000, down from €1.25 million.

These are but a few of the many properties available along the Spanish coast. The major cities, including Barcelona and Madrid, also have plenty of low-cost properties and deals available for those who want to buy in these areas. Right now, anyone who is looking at or buying housing in Spain can find some great deals just about anywhere in the county.
